The stones recall forgotten years,
They break their hush with sudden tears.
But when you smile, their grief is gone,
Replaced with light that lingers on.

The garden glows though shadows stay,
Your presence turns the dusk to day.
No stone is cold, no breeze unkind,
When touched by grace your eyes define.

The moon delays her silver flight,
To linger longer near your light.
The stars grow faint, their voices fall,
And crown you brighter than them all.

The roses hush, their colors fade,
As if they yield the bloom you made.
Your smile alone, so pure, so true,
Outshines the red they once all knew.
